72-year-old Gooding man sentenced to federal prison for accepting bribes

A 72-year-old man from Gooding, Idaho will spend the next two years in federal prison after being convicted of accepting bribes.

Kelly Nathaniel Goodman was a CDL skills test examiner for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) since the 1990's. Sometime between December 2017 and May 2020 Goodman began accepting bribes for passing scores on CDL tests.

Goodman accepted at least $38,000 in bribes in return for providing passing scores on Idaho CDL skills test. He specifically pleaded guilty to a bribe on August 31, 2021 in return for giving an individual a passing score on an Idaho CDL skills test.

In addition to 2 years in federal prison, Goodman will also forfeit $38,000 in ill-gotten gains.
