Veteran actor Satish Kumar Khosla aka Birbal Khosla passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday, where he was receiving medical treatment. According to reports, Khosla died of a heart attack. He was 84 years old. His funeral will take place on Wednesday.
Birbal Khosla gained popularity for his portrayal of a half-moustached prisoner in the blockbuster film Sholay. He began his acting career in 1966 with the movie Do Badan, but it was the film Boond Jo Ban Gayee Moti that brought him into the limelight. Khosla went on to act in more than 500 movies in various languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, and Marathi. Some of his notable films include Aradhana, Mera Naam Joker, Gambler, Amar Prem, Charas, Vishwanath, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Karz, Fir Kabhi, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Upkar, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Kranti, Sadma, Charlie Chaplin, Anurodh, Tapasya, Amir Garib, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Dil, Gambler and Mr & Mrs Khiladi.
Birbal Khosla, who had a career of more than 50 years, collaborated with numerous renowned actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jeetendra, Mumtaz, Manoj Kumar, and Rajesh Khanna. His final appearance was in the movie 10 Nahi 40 in 2022. More on:
