Anthony Hoffman, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon with over 23 years of experience. He sees patients at the Bay Area Foot Care locations in Oakland and San Leandro, California.
He graduated with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine (now California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University) in 1995.
Dr. Hoffman completed a 2-year surgical residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers in Hayward and Fremont California from 1995 to 1997. He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and also a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
Dr. Hoffman treats all ranges of foot ailments including toenails and other skin pathologies, diabetic foot issues, sprains and strains, fractures, heel pain/plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, and neuromas. He prescribes orthotics to control abnormal foot mechanics in an attempt to prevent surgery. He collaborates with colleagues on complex foot issues and recommends treatments best suited for each particular patient.
Dr. Hoffman has served two separate terms as Service Chief of Podiatric Services at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center Summit Hospital. He has also served as President of the Alameda Contra Costa Podiatric Medical Society.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, sports, and taking day trips to small California communities.
